Cabana Brasil is a new restaurant group get-up by renown restauranteur Jamie Barber (Hush, Sake No Hana, Villandry and Kitchen Italia) and David Ponte (Momo). They produce delicious authentic Brazilian street food with gorgeous off-the-wall decor sourced from Brazil.
They approached 8trackmuscisolutions to produce the soundtrack for the restaurants and with authenticity in mind, wanted to have a music system similar to that in Brazil. Apparently on the back of menus in some restaurants there is a list of music available and customers who wish to choose a track write down the name of the tune on a post-it and send it off to get played. All well and good but post-its don’t really cut it in the age of the smartphone!
So, Bluntpixel developed a suite of Apps that wirelessly connect to the restaurant’s jukebox and allows the customer to see what’s playing now, next and previously. They can also view the current playlist, select tracks for viewing, tag them in iTunes and even queue a song to be played next.
